Camp Knife WIP

I'm working on a camp knife right now.  It is the last of the 5/32 O1 Tool Steel from my first purchase.  It is pretty thick, so I figured I would finish the steel off with a knife I could use on the trail hiking, or as a general purpose camp knife.  It has a sabre grind using a bevel jig that I built.  I will post that jig another time, with my instructions on how I made it.

Here are a couple shots of the WIP.

I still need to drill holes to bring the weight of the handle down as well as ones for the loveless bolts.

Scales will be brown canvas Micarta.  A sheath will also follow.

Kitchen Knife Repair

After a factory handle got ruined on one of our kitchen knives, I thought it would be a great lesson to put a new handle on it.

Before I ruined them, the scales were black plastic with stainless steel rivets. The after photos show 1/8" red and black G10 with brass and stainless loveless bolts.
